The stigma associated with mental health can be crippling and a major deterrent to seeking help. May is recognized as mental health awareness month, however, mental health support is available all year-long journey. The pressures of school, family life or the uncertainty associated with living through a global pandemic can all contribute to a mental health episode.

Through avenues like social media and community groups, our generation is having the uncomfortable conversations surrounding the daily struggles some face. In fact, according to the CDC 1 in 5 Americans will face mental health issues in their lifetimes. And yet, many suffer in silence.

Maneuvering the college experience, especially in the current virtual setting can produce many stressors. Staying financially enrolled is the main stress point for many, but we are reimagining the scholarship search at TST.
